David Le Bas has been involved with musical instruments in Ireland since 1976. As a young sales rep he travelled the country selling Hohner Musical Instruments. He established a connection in the Irish Music industry with traditional Irish Music shops, which, to this day, are selling the Clare Tin Whistle. David's maternal roots are in West Clare, as his mother was born and reared there. He transferred the manufacturing of the Clare Whistles in the early 1980s from its original base in Ennis to Dublin. David lives in Dublin with his wife Olive and their four children.
